Schwarzenegger Claims He Is "Forgetful"

Los Angeles – Roughly 11 years ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered an illegitimate child outside of his marriage to his wife Maria Shriver. Schwarzenegger impregnated one of his staff members right before his run for Governor of California. When asked why it wasn’t until now that this child was being discovered, the former governor said that it had slipped his mind.

“I was getting ready to run for governor of California and I had a lot on my plate. I meant to bring it up, but I kept getting side-tracked.” He went on to discuss why he kept the news from his then-wife, Shriver. “I really didn't mean to keep it from her. There were days where I told myself ‘I gotta remember to tell her today’ and then when the opportunity came up, it would slip my mind.” He then went on to say that when he did remember, she would be in “one of her moods” and he decided to back off until another day.

Schwarzenegger then discussed the difficulties of public office. “It was very hard.” he told reporters. “As soon as I got a handle on things, someone would call or run into my office to discuss rolling black-outs or the financial situation that the state was in. And don’t get me started on illegal immigration. That is quite the touchy subject for California residents!” He then laughed through his over-sized teeth.

Schwarzenegger insisted that the pressures of being a celebrity and governor were insurmountable. He talked about going from rags to riches and living the American dream and how that can sometimes cause you to forget things. “Trust me, I had every intention of mentioning this to everyone. I just kept forgetting. Maria would tell me that I would forget my head if it wasn’t attached. It took me a while to get that one, but now I see what she was talking about.”

When the love child was a toddler, it was revealed to Schwarzenegger that the kid was his. He then allegedly paid baby mama, Mildred Patricia Baena, (Pictured on the right. Photo courtesy of TMZ.com) handsomely to keep things quiet. When asked about his complete and total recall on making each of the payments, Schwarzenegger said “Oh. Of course I made sure I got those payments out to her. I needed this to be kept quiet. And have you seen her? I would rather this not get out. It's embarrassing.” Schwarzenegger then went on to discuss his new movie projects that he has in the works. He even joked that he hoped they wouldn’t be anything like Junior.
