Camping believed in the accuracy of this statement due to his extensive research and careful mathematics. It was early this morning at 1:07 AM Eastern Standard Time that Camping was visited by God. In a vision, God thanked him for his diligence in discovering the time. God had felt that he hid it pretty well; even taunting humanity by saying in 1 Thessalonians “the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” God had thrown down the gauntlet and Camping had accurately picked it up, until early this morning.
After God congratulated Camping on his accurate research, He let Camping know that the world, would not, in fact, end today. God has decided to put it off for at least a little while longer. According to Camping, God said “I just couldn’t have predicted this Bulls/Heat series to be so interesting! I mean, did you see Gibbson’s two dunks in the first game? That was AWESOME! And then for the Heat to tie it up at one game a piece? This thing is going to go back and forth and I want to see who comes out the victor.” God let Camping know that he was pretty sure the Bulls were going to dominate the series going into it, but now was wondering if the Heat may have a chance.
When Camping asked if the world would end at the end of the series, God wasn’t sure. God said that He would “let things play out” to see if He wants the end of the Championship game to be played. Camping got the feeling that God probably would extend humanity's time on Earth, especially if His favorite team, the Bulls, made it all the way. Camping realized God was a long-time Bulls fan when He came to Camping in a Bob Love #10 jersey.
All of humanity rejoiced at this news. “Another couple weeks of sinning before I have to repent? Sign me up!” said a county board member in Nashville, Tennessee. “I had my back against the wall not having time to make it to both the gym and church in time for Judgment Day! Now I don’t regret hitting the elliptical!” Her sentiments were shared with many that now wish for the Bulls/Heat series to go to a game seven.
When reached for a comment, both the Bulls and Heat organizations shared similar sentiments. They promised that they will do what is best for their fans and humanity. Chicago Bulls player, Carlos Boozer, even commented in his twitter account that he hasn’t “even been trying that hard through the series to begin with. This is now a greater weight off of my chest!”
Both Dwayne Wade and Lebron James promised to put on a good show, but not that good, as did Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, who both promised to tone down their awesomeness. When Bosh was asked about the situation, he questioned where the series was at now, how many games there were left and which team they were playing.
